Designed By Danish Custom Knifemakers Jens Anso And Jesper Voxnaes, The Pingo Was Specifically Developed To Conform To The Knife Laws Of Denmark, Which Prohibit Both Lock-Blade Folding Knives And All Forms Of One-Hand-Opening Knives. This Limited Edition Sprint Run Of The Pingo Elevates Its Proven Design With The Addition Of Premium Solid Titanium Handle Scales. The Scales Are Meticulously Machined And Polished To A Handsome Satin Finish. They Are Then Embellished With A Color-Anodized Blue Spyderco “Bug” That Embraces The Back Of The Handle And Proudly Announces Its Brand Identity.
The Titanium Pingo’S Plainedge™ Blade Is Precision Ground From Premium Elmax® Powder-Metallurgy Stainless Steel And Has A Full-Flat Grind For Superior Edge Geometry And Low-Friction Cutting Performance. Its Trademark Round Hole™ Makes Two-Handed Opening Much Easier Than A Traditional Nail Nick And Is Further Evidence Of The Knife’S Spyderco Pedigree. A Full-Length Spring In The Back Of The Handle Powers The Knife’S Notched-Joint Mechanism, Which Reliably Holds The Blade Open During Use, But Does Not Lock. A Reversible Wire Clip Completes The Package, Allowing Convenient Left Or Right-Side Tip-Up Carry And Making Both Carry And Operation Of This Unique Expression Of The Pingo Completely Ambidextrous.
